We live in a generation of compromise; where many people are professing that they are Christians and that they belong to Christ whereas their hearts are away from Him. They say it with their mouths that they are saved and some even, baptized in the Holy Spirit, speak in tongues, prophesy, heal the sick, and do many more, yet the world and it’s order is found in their hearts!
Many are in the church praying for God’s blessings upon their lives and are happily snatching other’s husbands from them. Others are fornicating in the name of courtships, and still others, even some who holds leadership positions in the church, are practicing sexual immorality.
Many will say to Me in that day, Lord! Lord! Did we not prophesy in Your name, and through Your name throw out demons, and through Your name do many wonderful works? And then I will say to them I never knew you! Depart from Me, ye that work iniquity! Mt 7:22-23
The Greek word for iniquity is ‘anomia’, which means illegality, i.e. violation of law or wickedness:--iniquity, transgress(-ion of) the law, unrighteousness.
What shall we do?
If you believe you are really a born again Christian, then let the will of the Father be manifested in your daily life so that those who see will glorify God and come to Him.
Depart from me! What a terrible word! What a dreadful separation! Depart from ME! From the very Jesus whom you have proclaimed in union with whom alone eternal life is to be found. For, united to Christ, all is heaven; separated from him, all is hell! Live wisely and purposefully for the days are evil!
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God. 2Ti 3:4
The Greek word is ‘philedonos’-having an affection for pleasure, i.e. voluptuous:--lover of pleasure, of luxury or sensual pleasures; arousing sexual or other physical gratification – satisfying the lustful desires, or amusements. Having affection or liking for entertainments, games, funerals, etc. This has been, and is, the characteristic of the world, and has often been seen among even many who profess religion. Of a large portion of mankind it may be said that this is their characteristic, that they live for pleasure; they have no serious pursuits; they greatly prefer the pleasures to be found in the gay, lesbian, prostitutes’ assembly, in the place of low dissipation, to the friendship of their Creator.
It is very sad to see majority of Christians who rush to stadium on Sundays just to wait for oncoming football game which had not yet been started. You will be very surprise to hear a Christian who can mention the names of all the famous football players but can never mention the names of even three of Jesus’ disciples.
Many of today Christians loves to attend funerals instead of church services, if there is a funeral they will never go to church. They want people to know that they had love for the deceased and are sympathizing with them, meanwhile when he/she was sick before dying no one was there to help! The love of many Christians for God has grown cold in our generation.
WHAT THEN SHALL WE DO?
Do not love the world, nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him, because all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust of it, but he who does the will of God abides forever. 1Jo 2:15-17
A man should be as vigorous as a panther (black leopard), as swift as an eagle, as fleet as a stag (adult deer), and as strong as a lion, to do the will of his Creator. Love the creator instead of loving what He created, because in no time they shall all pass away.
But flee youthful lusts, and follow righteousness, faith, love, peace, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2Ti 2:22
Live wisely and purposefully for the days are evil!
Is fornication now embraced in Christianity?
To fornicate simply means to have sex with someone who you are not married to. The majority of Christians are now fornicating in the name of courtship. The moment they agree to marry, whiles they are not even on preparation to get marriage, the next thing is that they are already in bed. Even if it’s left with one day for you to get married and you have affair, it’s still fornication.
What does the Bible says about fornication?
Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 1Co 6:13,18
There is force and emphases in the word flee. Man should escape from it; he should not stay to reason about it; to debate the matter; or even to contend with his inclinations, and to try the strength of his virtue. There are some sins which a man can resist; some about which he can reason without danger of pollution. However, this is a sin where a man is safe only when he flies just like Joseph fled from the wife of Potiphar. When you fornicate, you sin against the body in its permanent essence, designed "for the Lord." The fornicator alienates that body which is the Lord's, and makes it one with a harlot's body, and so "sins against his own body," that is, against the verity and nature of his body; not a mere effect on the body from without, but a contradiction of the truth of the body, produced within itself. The person pollutes, dishonors, and degrades his/her body to the level of animal.
Fornication defiles the body which is designed to be a member of Christ, and a temple of the Holy Spirit; it separates it from the union with Christ, and unites it with a harlot. The grievousness of the sin is in the desecration to such an unholy purpose of the body which has become a member of Christ, the temple of God; it defiles the body with a peculiar type of filthiness.
For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: 1Th 4:3
The punishment for fornicators
"But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." Re 21:8
Please free from fornication at all cost!!!
The most dangerous sin a man can ever commit is the sin of the rich man in hell, and that sin is to say NO to Jesus! This man was very rich on earth and enjoyed himself everyday,
“There was a certain rich man who was customarily clothed in purple and fine linen and making merry in luxury every day”. Lu 16:19.
Christ preached through the mouths of the Prophets to him day by day, but he was too busy making merry than hearing the Gospel and therefore continued saying NO to Jesus. One day he died and went to hell and there he was pleading to Abraham that some one from the dead be sent to his brothers who have not been receiving the gospel, like he did, so that they, likewise, do not come to hell after they are dead.
This is what Jesus says to anyone he sends, "He that hears you hears me; and he that rejects you rejects me; and he that rejects me rejects him that sent me." Lu 10:16. So are you an unbeliever to the Christians’ faith? You have been hearing the Gospel of Christ and yet you have been rejecting it, you are saying NO to Jesus as the rich man in hell once did, and if you do not accept him as your Lord and Savior now you shall be sorry after you are dead! Many so called believers, as a matter of fact, are rejecting Christ by disobeying his word being preached by their Pastors and Ministers! You go to church, your Pastor preaches to you, “Stop sleeping with others who are not your spouse (girl friends and boy friends), stop stealing and cheating, stop quarreling with others, stop sleeping with peoples’ wives and husbands”. And the very things you hear the word of God telling you to stop doing them you go home and just do them, I tell you, you are saying NO to Jesus so repent else you will regret it one day.
WHAT THEN SHALL I DO?
If you are unbeliever today is the right time for you to accept Jesus as your Lord and savior. Hurry! For time waits for no man. Don’t say No to Jesus and never wait for tomorrow for you don’t know what tomorrow will bring. Seek for Jesus now!
Are you a believer and are living according to the order of this world instead of the Word of God? Do you profess to be Christian and lead a worldly life? You are really mistaking! When Jesus speaks to you through the mouth of your Pastor or any man of God try to receive the word with a clean heart and apply it in your life so that in the end you likewise do not go to the place of torment.
Are you a preacher of the Gospel? Do you practice what you preach or live your life contrary to what you preach? Jesus might be speaking through your own mouth and you yourself might be saying NO to him. You are not exempt! Check your life and do what is right!
Money is not God, don’t kill for it!!! Even if the whole world was yours, you would leave it behind after death; you won’t go to the netherworld with a penny. Don’t let the love of money or wealth possesses you, don’t let it rule your heart – DON’T KILL FOR IT!!!
Money is of no use after death. For we brought nothing into the world, for neither can we carry anything out;
…For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil: which some reaching after have been led astray from the faith, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1Ti 6:7,10
Christianity is not about getting baptized and going to church; it goes further than that – it’s about being born again and living the remainder of your life for Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. Attending church services always and following the dogmas of the church doesn’t save but giving your life to Christ and living for him in the power of the Holy Spirit does.
Thousands of people end up in hell everyday of which most of them thought they were saved and were hoping for heaven because they were part of the Church; they were not actually Christians in heart but in mouth only – they did not live for Christ but for themselves and now they are in hell begging for another chance of which they can never find. Do not find hell too late!!!
Repent now and start living for Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. Take up your cross and follow Jesus on daily bases. Jesus needs you in heaven instead of hell.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Ro 8:14
"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Mt 6:21
Heaven is the only Country, and a City for that matter, where you can build your luxurious mansions and wealth from the outside; from a different planet - a different world.
You only lay up your treasures in heaven whilst you are still alive on earth. You go there to enjoy that wealth you have already built when you are dead. You do not go there to build anything, but to enjoy what you’ve already laid up there whilst on earth. This is what Jesus taught over and over when on earth, that human could understand what it is in the heavenly realms and how they could comport themselves and lay up their treasures there. But still many people, even Christians, seem not to understand and therefore seek to enjoy the world at its best.
"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; "but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Mt 6:19-21
I restate it here with the heart cry of Christ and in the influence of the Holy Spirit that,
"Lay Up Your Treasures In Heaven And Not On This Earth!”
All that you have in this world, be it luxurious cars, mansions, air planes, whatever have you, you can never enter into the netherworld with any, you shall surely go with empty hand after death. The only way you can transport your wealth to heaven is to sell them and give to the poor and the needy.
Sell what you have and give alms. Make for yourselves purses which do not become old, an unfailing treasure in Heaven, where no thief comes nor moth corrupts. Luke 12:33
This is the heart cry of Jesus; this is what he is expecting us to do, so that in the end, we shall receive them bountifully in heaven. Do not selfishly consume all that you have, do not spend all your income only on yourself or on your family. Spend also on the needy; less on yourself, more on others, and you shall never regret it after death.
And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am tormented in this flame.Luke 16:24
Eternity is what many people do not want to think about at all, people do not feel good to think about that; they do not like that idea. But if you should die now, you’ve started your eternity; either eternity in heaven or hell. People do not want to think about eternity because they just don’t feel good when they do just like the wife of Lot when they were asked to free for their lives and so looked back. They want to enjoy this world at its best without wanting to leave it behind. Some enjoy stealing, others, murdering, cheating, etc.
People enjoy living in luxurious mansions and cars, whilst others having fun with men or women in fornication. The things of the world which are, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, are attractive to humans that they do never want to stop enjoying. Because of these many people are not ready for the netherworld and so start their journeys unprepared!
Eternity with God in heaven is all of bliss, but eternity with Satan in hell is unimaginable damnation! You can decide for any of these two places for your eternity now, and that’s a must do because you can have and accident and die in the cause or anything can happen to you within few hours for you to start your eternity unprepared. About 153,000 people die a day, and 6,390 per hour, and what if your time expires just now? Decide for eternity now before it becomes too late for you.
Jesus is the only way to escape hell and live in eternal bliss. Give your life to him and live for him from now onwards and you will never regret it incase you die now.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5:24
And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 1Jo 5:11-12
I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. John 17:14
How many use these expressions, professing to be strangers and pilgrims here below and yet the whole of their conduct, spirit, and attachments, show that they are perfectly at home! How little consideration and weight are in many of our professions, whether they relate to earth or heaven!
Let us profess to seek a heavenly country, do not entangle your affections with earthly things. While others spend all their time and employ all their skills, in acquiring earthly property, and totally neglect the salvation of their souls, they are not strangers, they are here at home; they are not pilgrims, they are seeking an earthly possession: Heaven is your home, seek that. God is your portion, seek him. All kinds of earthly desires, whether those of the flesh or of the eye or those included in the pride of life, are here comprised in the words fleshly lusts.
And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear 1Pe 1:17
But layup treasures in Heaven for yourselves, where neither moth nor rust corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal. Mt 6:20
Actually, everything you have on this earth one day you will die leaving them all behind, oh yea, there are no two ways about that; a fact that can never be denied. What if there can be a miraculous way of which you can transport them all into heaven so that you wouldn’t have to leave them behind? It is so simple – give them to the poor!

Do not exhaust your strength and spend your days in providing for the life here, but let your chief anxiety be to be prepared for eternity. Let our desires and efforts go after heavenly things.
